About Me

My name is Kimberly Wright. I graduated from the Web Site Design and Management program at Idaho State University College of Technology with an Associate's of Applied Technology Degree in May of 2007. I am currently working towards my Bachelor's of Applied Technology Degree.

I enjoy designing web sites and creating graphics and animations. My favorite program is Adobe Flash. This program allows me to use my creativity to design interactive web sites and animations while having fun.

Some of the other programs I am skilled in include Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Premiere. I am also fluent in XHTML and CSS coding.

Before I joined the Web Site Design and Management program, I earned my Associate's of Arts Degree in Spanish. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to practice my spanish, so I am slowly forgetting it. I hope to one day be able to travel to a spanish-speaking country. The country I would like to visit the most is Spain.

Business Professionals of America (BPA)

During my schooling, I was a member of Business Professionals of America. My membership in this club provided me with plenty of valuable learning experiences. I was able to compete at the state and national levels in order to test the skills I had learned in class. To see how I placed in these BPA competitions check out my Awards and check out the Web Sites I created.

Participating in BPA also gave me the opportunity to travel. In 2006 I was able to go to Florida. We spent the first few days at Cocoa Beach. For the conference, we stayed on Disney property and were given a free day at one of the parks. While in Florida, we went to Busch Gardens, Downtown Disney, and took an air boat ride to see the alligators.

Some of the places we visited were Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, The Empire State Building, and Central Park. We also took a double-decker tour in which we witnessed the sights, sounds, and smells of New York. We also went to Broadway and watched Phantom of the Opera.

We took a boat ride across the lake and back. While in Reno, we got free access to various events, including a go-kart ride, a hypnotist show, and much more.

In 2010 the national conference was in Anaheim, California.
